BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Facility Manager & HSE Officer (ASPP) is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation, maintenance, and safety compliance of company facilities. This role combines facility management with active support of the Health and Safety function, ensuring compliance with national health and safety regulations (Legislative Decree 81/08 in Italy) and promoting a safe and functional working environment.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supervise and coordinate the maintenance and operation of buildings, systems, and infrastructure
  • Manage external service providers (e.g. maintenance contractors, cleaning services, security, catering)
  • Monitor and control facility-related costs; assist in budget planning and cost optimization
  • Ensure workplace comfort, efficiency, and compliance with environmental and energy standards
  • Implement initiatives to improve sustainability and energy efficiency
  • Development of preventive and corrective maintenance plans
  • Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety regulations (Legislative Decree 81/08 in Italy)
  • Coordination of inspections and technical checks
  • Emergency management and evacuation planning
  • Analysis and optimization of workspace utilization
  • Support in office relocation or internal renovation projects
  • Handling internal staff requests related to facilities
BACKGROUND & PRINCIPAL SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Solid knowledge of workplace safety legislation (D.Lgs. 81/08)
  • Familiarity with building systems (electrical, HVAC, mechanical)
  • Experience managing service contracts and supplier performance
  • Proficient in MS Office and facility
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team-oriented with a proactive attitude
  • At least 3 years of experience in facility management or similar roles
  • Technical diploma or degree in Engineering, Architecture, Occupational Safety, or similar fieldCertified ASPP qualification (Modules A + B according to Italian law)
  • Good English
