ABOUT ZEGNA

The global leader in luxury menswear, ZEGNA was founded in the Italian Alps in 1910. Part of the Ermenegildo Zegna Group, the brand remains true to the values of its visionary Founder, Ermenegildo Zegna, who believed in creating world-class fabrics in harmony with both nature and local communities—a philosophy embodied by Oasi Zegna, the home of our values. The inspiration behind the brand’s values, Oasi Zegna, continues to guide everything we do at ZEGNA — from supporting our people to fostering a culture of growth, where craftsmanship and innovation are core elements of our learning processes and long-term growth strategy.

YOUR ROLE AT ZEGNA

As the Tailor-Fitter, based in New York at our 57th Street store, you will bring your unique strengths to the Retail team, helping us deliver impeccable craftsmanship and exceptional service that elevate the ZEGNA client experience.

You’ll work closely with the Tailor Shop Manager as well as the Style Advisors to drive meaningful results and shape the way we serve and connect with our clients. You will support and deliver an in-store luxury client experience by conducting professional fittings, providing expert garment recommendations, and building trusted relationships throughout the tailoring process. You will also serve as a front-of-house ambassador for the brand, collaborating with the sales team to ensure seamless communication, personalized service, and exceptional client satisfaction.

HOW YOU BRING IT TO LIFE

Here’s how you’ll bring this role to life each day — making it your own and shaping it with your unique talents and expertise:

Perform precise, high-quality alterations that reflect ZEGNA’s tailoring standards and aesthetic.

Consult with clients and Style Advisors during fittings, offering expert guidance on garment construction, styling, and fit.
Take full ownership of all garments leaving the tailor shop, ensuring excellence in workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Manage tailoring workload efficiently, maintaining clear communication on timelines, delays, and expectations.
Collaborate with the store team to support smooth operations and uphold a premium in-store experience.

WHO YOU ARE

You bring 3+ years of experience in luxury tailoring or alterations.
You’re skilled in garment construction, fittings, and finishing techniques.
You’re known for your attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
You thrive when solving technical challenges and delivering high-touch service.
You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively across diverse audiences.

YOUR ZEGNA OFFER

Pay: $45-50 per hour (dependent on experience)
Comprehensive benefits: medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) with employer match, commuter benefits and more.
Paid time off: vacation and holidays, with accrual based on tenure and role level

NATURALLY IN ZEGNA

Joining us means stepping into a world of excellence, where the uniqueness of our authenticity is rooted in the talents of our people, who together contribute to weaving a story of innovation and craftsmanship. You will become part of an ongoing journey of development, uncovering your talents while contributing to a proud legacy and a vibrant tomorrow.
